I love this book very much. Every character feels real to me, like there’s so much more to each one beneath the surface of what we have to see. I love the depth of relationships. This book is also the most accurate, in – depth description of depression I’ve ever seen in fiction, which I can truly empathize with. The protagonist’s determination to fight over depression and save the people she loves is really strong. There was a love triangle, which I’m not really a fan of. However, that is the only downside of this book. It’s an exciting, captivating, powerful book and I can’t wait for the sequel.

I wish this book had been available years ago. The fact that mental health and depression are discussed in a fantasy book is amazing. That makes me so happy! I was very impressed with the author for her portrayal of depression. It’s accurate, real, and I feel like I’m thinking, “This is exactly how I feel.” Honestly, I wish I had picked up this book sooner. Storm Crow is a great book, moving a bit slow in points. However, it takes time to let the reader know how the protagonist is struggling so while the action can be slow, the character development is real. I like how romance is not a big thing. It’s mostly in the background, except for a few scenes. I really appreciate that, because it adds to the originality of the book.
