A plane crash survivor wakes up in a Canadian hospital, his memory blank. Then Kitty, a beautiful woman walking, tells him that he is Paul Madden, a photographer and her fiancé. Not bad. Except that a man on the phone kept calling him Matt Helm.

Everything doesn’t add up. This can only mean trouble….

This book bears striking similarities to Robert Ludlum’s novel The Bourne Identity. Hamilton’s book was published 3 years ago. Matt Helm loses his memory after a near-drowning, he must find his identity (including his own) while surprising himself with his own skill at decapitating people. evildoers are chasing him. And such.

It’s an excellent horror movie, I recommend you watch it whether you are a Ludlum fan or not. The fundamental difference is that Matt Helm’s series is narrated in first person, while Ludlum uses third person for Bourne. The first one works better for this scenario, IMO.

I have read all the books in the series from the 60s and 70s in paperback. I’m glad to see them now available online on my Kindle. I’ve re-read all of them and prescribed new issues from the Titan book. I can’t put my tablet down when starting a new one. Super read.

I’m not looking forward to the end of the series but I won’t stop reading these books until I have. It’s amazing how Helm’s views reflect what’s been happening in the United States.

This cleverly written story is one of the best in Matt Helm’s long-running series, with well-written characters and a plot that includes many satisfying twists and turns. There is also a lot of action. Finally, our secret agent hero has lost his memory but still has to carry out his extremely dangerous mission! This combination makes for a very enjoyable read that can be appreciated by existing fans of the series or by new readers, with the latter learning about Helm and his unique work. him with him, as he gradually recovered his memory. And the setting – Vancouver – is well depicted. Highly recommended.
