Vampire’s True Love Test is a short story novel and book 6.5 of the Nocturne Falls series. In this book, Sebastian Ellingham and Tessa Blythe are engaged, but Tessa’s parents have other plans in mind for their daughter’s marriage. Sebastian is forced to undergo a series of tests intended for Berserkers to complete, not Vampires. These tests do not benefit Sebastian, in fact, they may have been created with the intention that he would fail and be forced away from Tessa, possibly even permanently. I love this story. I love all these books and the characters. I recommend them all. Narrative is good. It’s the same narrator for the entire series and he has a lot of voice in his repertoire.

This is a great addition to the series and the return of one of my favorite Nocturne Falls couples, Sebastian and Tessa. We get to see the next stage in their relationship and the confrontation with Tessa’s parents and the Valkyrie tradition. It would be nice to get more background information on the Tessa family and their relationship as well as get a different look at the equal power partnership between Tessa and Sebastian. The film is fast – paced and enjoyable with an expected amount of sweet romance, brief conflicts, and faintly warm happy endings. B.J. Harrison has done an excellent job of bringing two new characters to life in this sweet new volume of the series. I’m so grateful that so many of these movies are available through Audible Escape because I didn’t know I would want to buy all of these shorts separately.
