The Visitor: Jack Reacher 4 – Audiobook Online
In “The Visitor” by Lee Child, Sergeant Amy Callan and Lieutenant Caroline Cook, two former army high-flyers who crossed paths with Jack Reacher, are found dead under suspicious circumstances. Both women were forced to resign from the army and their bodies are discovered in their homes, naked and submerged in paint-filled bathtubs. The primary suspect is an army man seeking revenge, someone intelligent and driven. The similarities between the victims and the suspected killer lead to Jack Reacher being implicated in the murders. Reacher, as a former military policeman, possesses the skills and mindset of someone who could carry out such crimes. With his own connections to Callan and Cook, as well as his reputation as a loner and vigilante, Reacher becomes a prime suspect.
As the investigation progresses, Reacher must navigate a web of deception and uncover the truth behind the murders to clear his name. He confronts his own past and encounters a cast of characters who may have motives for wanting the victims dead. With his unique skills and determination, Reacher ultimately uncovers the real culprit behind the killings and is able to bring them to justice, proving his innocence in the process.

Sergeant Amy Callan and Lieutenant Caroline Cook have much in common. Both are high-flyers in the military. Both are acquainted with Jack Reacher. Both were forced to resign.
Now both are dead.
The two were found in their own home, naked, in a tub full of paint. Both are clearly victims of a military man – a loner, a smart guy with grades to deal with, a ruthless vigilante.
Someone like Jack Reacher.
This book is a bit annoying. The “who did” problem could not be solved due to the intelligence of the unknown killer, but Reacher finally did after a long night of weighing the evidence. I am enthralled. I want to read all of Jack Reacher’s books.
I wonder why Child’s millions of words don’t bother me like in many other books? Then I realized that each of his books is nothing more than an interesting history of some time period built on a page-turner. And I like to try to capture him in descriptions placed in areas that I know. He’s good. In Running Blind, I picked up a sentence in the middle of the book that kept bouncing around in my head. Then, as the book started to end, I thought, I got it, only to be questioned again, and again. The only thing I didn’t like about Reacher’s books was their ending—until I started with the next book. And I plan to read all 27 books.
