The Wedding from Hell By J. R. Ward – Audiobook Online
The Wedding from Hell is a novella written by J.R. Ward, which serves as a prequel to her Firefighters series. It is divided into four parts, with Part 1 titled “The Rehearsal Dinner.” This story revolves around a disastrous wedding event filled with chaos, drama, and intense romantic tension.
In “The Rehearsal Dinner,” the stage is set for a calamitous wedding as various elements come together to create a recipe for disaster. The story introduces Anne Ashburn, a bridesmaid who has a strong aversion to the color pink, believing it to be the root of all evil. Alongside her is Danny Maguire, the best man and a firefighter who exudes irresistible charm and attractiveness.
Anne and Danny find themselves irresistibly drawn to each other, their sexual attraction becoming explosive. However, their budding romance is overshadowed by the presence of a bridezilla, who adds fuel to the already chaotic situation. As tensions rise, two cat fights break out among the wedding party members, further adding to the mayhem.
Amidst all the commotion, an emergency call disrupts the event, requiring Danny’s immediate attention as a firefighter. This unexpected turn of events adds another layer of excitement and urgency to an already chaotic situation.
Overall, “The Rehearsal Dinner” sets the stage for what promises to be an eventful and tumultuous wedding. With its mix of conflicting personalities, intense romantic chemistry, bridezilla antics, cat fights, and an emergency call, this prequel novella provides readers with a taste of the thrilling and dramatic events that lie ahead in the Firefighters series.

Don’t miss out on New York Times author J.R.’s best-selling trilogy. Ward: Wedding from Hell. This exclusive prequel to her upcoming indie thriller Consumed (released October 2018) takes us back to where it all started between arson investigator Anne Ashburn and the firefighter.” bad boy” Danny Maguire. Wedding from Hell is a voluptuous indie novel that builds on Consumed’s plot, leaving fans wanting more and dying for it.
Wedding from Hell, Part 1: Rehearsal dinner: It’s a classic recipe for disaster: Take a bridesmaid who thinks pink is the root of all evil, combine with a hot grooms More than four alarms, add explosives to their sex appeal, a nightmare bride, two cat fights, and an emergency call, and you have a wedding like hell.
Hell’s Wedding, Part 2: Reception: As the hellish wedding continues, Anne and Danny find themselves struggling with a delicate balance between a career gap and explosive attraction. Will the desire they feel last through the night and change their lives? Or are they doomed to break up after a passionate night?
I like the story but I guess I’m old. I’d rather have a book to read than find my mind spinning and not listening. And when I heard other people speak, the voices didn’t match what I thought they would look like when I read. It took me a while to decide to switch from a book in my hand to a tablet. I still remember the smell of a book if that makes sense. I might enjoy hearing something that isn’t a story.
I listened to this “novel” prequel (more like a short story) because I loved Consumed so much. It’s not really necessary but I think why not. We can essentially see the action of events leading up to Danny and Anne sleeping together for the first time, which is hinted at at the beginning of Consumed.
It’s okay and the parts that have Danny and Anne together are so engaging, I just want less with helping a “prostitute” and her pimp, less about the promiscuous Deandra, and basically if you haven’t already. If you read Consumed, don’t mind this.
Oh…I love this prequel to J.R.’s New Firefighters Series. Ward. Great background on how Ann Ashburn and Danny Maguire got together and how their relationship progressed. Then the unthinkable happens!
Here’s the trailer for a new series by J. R. Ward, one of my favorite paranormal authors. I’m a bit skeptical about this because as far as I can tell, the series isn’t mystical in any way, but I was completely hooked by the characters and was hooked. Looking forward to the official first book of the series.
