It is winter in Three Pines. It is a very picturesque and a very beautiful village in Quebec. It is the place where the villagers are setting themselves up for the upcoming Christmas in the most traditional manner. But, there is also someone who was setting up for a murder.

CC de Poitiers was liked by none. She was nether loved by her quiet husband, her pathetic daughter and her spineless lover. No one in the residents of Three Pines loved her. CC de Poitiers tried to alienate one and all right until the time of her death.

When Armand Gamache, the Chief Inspector of Surete du Quebec was called in to investigate, he was quick to realize that he was dealing with something absolutely extraordinary. Cc de Poitiers was electrocuted right in the center of a completely frozen lake. It was all done in front of the entire village there but still no one saw anything.

The book has got a very gripping storyline. The performance made it even more enjoyable where the audience loved the performer for his so special interpretation.
