In 1969, Jake Cazalet saved a French woman’s life in Vietnam, and a brief, passionate love affair ensued. Years later in Paris, he was introduced to another beautiful young woman – his daughter. For various reasons, their relationship remains a secret.

Now Jake Cazalet is the president of the United States. Somehow, someone discovered the truth about her daughter, and she was captured by an evil extremist group. If the president doesn’t comply with the kidnappers’ demands – or use any of the US security agencies to track them down – they will execute her. You have ten days to decide.

Desperate, he turns to British agent Sean Dillon and FBI agent Blake Johnson. And if these two men can’t find their daughter, the president will have to make the most important decision of all.

I started reading Jack Higgins when I was in middle school. I was reading The Eagles Landed and The Eagles Flit with Liam Devlin in World War 2 It’s the 90s Now and Sean Dillon is the main character. This book is a true page turner and I was hooked.

Struggling novelist Simon Keller is surprised to receive a call from an elderly university professor inviting him to lunch…
Mariah Stewart weaves a tight, suspenseful web in The President’s Daughter. She made me guess right up to the last page who triggered the events that took place. You will be irresistibly drawn to the next page and the next page. With her acclaimed mastery, she weaves a wonderful romance into that tight web, and once again delivers a truly wonderful romance suspense novel.

Jack Higgins and his Hero Sean Dillon are at their best. As always, Higgins puts enough information about his characters in each book, you could pick up any of Sean Dillon’s stories without reading the stories first but for this occasion I recommend you read book 5. There’s also mention of Sean’s previous prison escapes, so you should read them in order, like me, you’ll be reminded of previous stories and adventures. I highly recommend this series.
