Three Mages and a Margarita – Audiobook Online

“Three Mages and a Margarita” is the first book in “The Guild Codex: Spellbound Series” by Annette Marie. The story follows the protagonist, Tori Dawson, who finds herself in debt and takes up a job at the Crow and Hammer, a guild catering to magical beings. Tori soon discovers that her new workplace is not an ordinary pub but a front for a guild of mages, sorcerers, and other supernatural beings. As she navigates this new world filled with magic and danger, Tori forms unexpected alliances with three powerful mages: Aaron, Kai, and Ezra.

The trio of mages helps Tori uncover her own latent magical abilities while protecting her from the threats lurking in the supernatural community. Together, they face challenges and adversaries as they delve into the mysteries surrounding Tori’s past and the secrets hidden within the guild. Throughout the book, themes of friendship, loyalty, self-discovery, and overcoming adversity are interwoven with action-packed scenes and magical encounters.

As Tori delves deeper into the world of magic and learns to harness her powers, she must navigate complex relationships with her mage companions and confront dark forces that threaten not only her newfound friends but also the delicate balance of power in the magical realm.

Broke, almost homeless and recently fired. Those were my official reasons for answering a wanted ad for a deviant-looking bartender gig.

Things got worse the moment they asked me to do a test shift instead of an interview – to see if I would fit in with their “special” clientele. I thought that part went great. Their customers were complete idiots, and I was an asshole. That’s the definition of inclusion, right?

I thought I was going to be thrown out. Instead, they…offered me a job?

Turns out this place is not a bar. It’s an association. And the three cocky guys I had margaritas with during my testing session? Yes, they are magicians. Either I’m exactly the kind of laid-back bartender this guild needs, or there’s a good reason no one wants to work here.

So what’s a poor girl to do? Of course, take that job – get a raise.

Be sure to check out the companion series, The Guild Codex: Demonized, available now, and The Guild Codex: Warped, co-authored by Rob Jacobsen.

I received a free copy from Xpresso Book Tours and voluntarily reviewed it.

The Three Magicians and Margarita is an interesting book. I’ve had a few books by this author on my reading list for a while now, but this is the first book of hers that I’ve actually read. If you’re looking for a fun urban fantasy, this is definitely a good one to check out.

The Three Magicians and Margarita are told in first-person perspective from Tori’s perspective. At the start of the book, she is fired from another job, and has difficulty keeping the job because of her short temper. I don’t really care for hot-tempered characters, but in most situations, I think her hot temper makes sense. She doesn’t just get angry all the time, only when people really go too far. And instead of letting it go, she threw a tantrum. She’s definitely not afraid to tell anyone what she thinks and knows how to stand up for herself.
