The new adventures of Roberts and his interstellar patrol friends are better than the ones in the previous episode.
A few stories from the collection stand out. The first is three similar but different installments involving overconfident aliens attacking a planet with pacifist religious settlers and being defeated in creative and interesting ways.

One of the Dallas Roberts stories is a direct sequel to the first of those three stories and involves overcoming an alien of one of those races by bringing a single species to board his ship. Another story by Dallas Roberts involves a group of cold-blooded anarchists whose ambitions and methods are more sophisticated than they first see (the highlight of that story is that they describe how one of the their plan failed and it wouldn’t be fair to mess it up).
The story of the pursuit of a cold-blooded thief and a telepathic manipulator is intense but has an ending that leaves me a bit confused. The story of Roberts falling in love and taking the body of a prince to fight a ruthless and well-prepared regent is also a highlight.
