ABC News host Dan Harris once thought meditation was only for those who gathered crystals, played the ultimate discus throw, and used the word namaste without a hint of irony. He went on a strange and tortuous journey that eventually led him to a practice he had long considered ludicrous. Harris found that meditation made him more focused and less emotional. According to his wife, it also made him significantly less upset. He wrote about his experiences in the incredibly candid and humorous memoir 10% Happier. The book became a New York Times number one bestseller and put Harris in the completely unexpected position of becoming one of the most public advocates of meditation.
