The Disappearance of Winter’s Daughter novel marks the 4th chapter of the ongoing The Riyria Chronicles. It is fascinating to say the least. The author Michael J. Sullivan is at his usual best with the novel. Once again, Michael J. Sullivan teamed up with Tim Gerard Reynolds for giving the audio narration of this book. Both the author and the prime narrator (Reynolds) makes an excellent pairing.

The novel starts with the incident of a daughter getting vanished all of a sudden. She was daughter of Gabriel Winter Two rogues were given a task to find her and get a fortune. But, that wasn’t enough at all.

When the daughter of Gabriel got vanished under mysterious circumstances, then she was presumed to be dead. The wealthy father got set to take revenge for the killing. Having been part of the society in Colnora during the Year of Fear time, he hired the notorious Duster, who is capable of delivering a bloody revenge.

Ride with the two thieves, Hadrian and Royce as the cynical former assassins travel together to the mysterious and not so friendly old city. It was completely filled with the nobles, who claimed descent from the majestic gentry. The job for Riyria seems to be quite easy apparently. He needs to find out that what exactly had happened with the duchess, who went missing. Further, he needs to bring her home, only if she is still alive or go on to punish the responsible.
