The remaining Lankies may have retreated out of fear, but the threat isn’t over yet. They need to be permanently destroyed before attacking again. That would take a new attack implementation. An Avenger warship, Andrew and the special tactics team under his command embark on a final find and destroy mission. This time, it will take place on Lanky’s field.

There are no great heroes. No unnecessary risks. Just a flash raid in the hostile Capella system. Blow alien seed ships into oblivion and bring hell back to Earth. At least, that’s the goal. But when does anything in war go to plan?

This is a great series with a top storyteller. Luke Daniels is probably one of the five best storytellers on Audible. Eric Dove does a perfectly good job of telling his own story, but there’s no good reason for him to read this book. We spent six books with Luke Daniels bringing these characters to life. I couldn’t get over that sudden change. Especially since I pre-ordered this and heard the change with my own ears when I tried to determine who was talking. I’ve given it a few hours already, but the characters still feel like strangers.

I wanted to ask why the narrator was changed before posting this negative review, but unfortunately Marko Kloos chose to isolate himself from the internet, so I can only make my own assumptions about what happened. Doing this may seem like a silly excuse for Marko to lose a huge fan base, but I guess it was his choice.
