The Autobiography – Audiobook Online
The Autobiography – Audiobook Online By: Alastair Cook
Get to know the British legend Alastair Cook in his engaging and very authentic autobiography.
‘He’s England’s greatest ever tennis player… an extremely interesting book’ Daily Mail, SPORTS BOOK OF THE YEAR.
Clock. The. Ball.
It’s just you. Stand at the fold. Wait. Bowler is running. His arm swings. The ball – 155 grams of cork, string and leather – is thrown at you. At 90 mph, it travels 22 yards in less than half a second. You can barely see it and you have to swing the stick before it gets halfway towards you. Because you are in its path…
Alastair Cook, one of England’s most decorated players and top goal scorer, knows what it’s like to be your best under pressure. However, at the age of 33, he ended his England career.
Come to him as he relives the harsh hours on the pitch, the desperate ups and downs and the incredible highs, the crippling anxiety that can send the best back home and the fight. Extraordinary will to yourself, opposing players and even those who are supposed to be on your side.
This is cricket like you’ve never seen. Seen from the inside…
I have yet to finish this book, however the honesty, warmth and insight provided by one of our greatest performers is truly outstanding and is all that a autobiography should have.I honestly cannot recommend this book enough. Top book, top expert and a true gentleman.
This is a great listen and insight into Cooky. The only slight disappointment was the narrator. He sounds like Chef but you might think he might have learned to pronounce the names of players and former players. It was pretty awesome.
