Power-off. An enemy has been achieved.
In a surrendered city beneath the streets of Chicago, Storm Princess Marbella Mercy sets out on a perilous path to find the only source of magic that can save Baelen Rath’s life.
Now to control her storm power, she must infiltrate the gargoyle’s territory, heal Baelen, and escape. It’s a simple plan to get in, out… until she comes face to face with the brutal gargoyle king.
Having wielded savage power, the king decided to add the storm to his list. Wanting to have his own princess, he is willing to do anything to make her follow his will.
When the king’s ruthless actions push Marbella to the edge of the abyss, she has only one choice – the princess must act.
For me, The Princess Must Strike is even better than the first one. Marbella went into Gargoyle territory to save Baelen and what a wonderful story to weave. Nothing goes as you would expect and new characters are introduced, most of whom you really care about but some are simply evil. When I read The Princess Must Die, I said it was my favorite book of the year. This book came out later and this is my favorite book of the year.
First, I don’t find these books too long, which makes them great for quick reads. This is the 2nd book in the trilogy and it’s just as good as the first. The storyline kept me hooked as we learned more about the previous characters and were introduced to new ones. I can’t wait to hook three and see how it all ends!
