The Proposal By Jasmine Guillory – Audiobook Online

The Proposal is the second book in the series The Wedding Date written by Jasmine Guillory. It is a contemporary romance novel that follows the story of Nikole Paterson, a freelance writer, and Carlos Ibarra, a pediatrician.

The story begins with Nikole attending a Dodgers game with her boyfriend of five months, Fisher. However, to her surprise and embarrassment, Fisher proposes to her on the jumbotron in front of thousands of people. Shocked and overwhelmed, Nikole rejects his proposal, causing a public scene. As she tries to escape the stadium, she meets Carlos and his sister Angela, who come to her rescue.

Carlos and Angela invite Nikole to join them for drinks at a nearby bar to help her calm down. Over drinks and conversation, Nikole learns that Carlos is a pediatrician and Angela is his best friend. They also discover their shared love for food and agree to meet again for dinner.

As Nikole navigates her post-proposal life, she finds solace in spending time with Carlos. They develop a close friendship and begin to confide in each other about their past relationships and personal struggles. Carlos opens up about his divorce and the challenges he faced as a single father.

As their friendship deepens, Nikole starts to question her feelings for Carlos. She realizes that she is attracted to him but worries about jeopardizing their friendship. Meanwhile, Carlos also starts developing romantic feelings for Nikole but is hesitant to act on them due to his past heartbreak.

One day, while attending a wedding together as friends, Nikole and Carlos share a passionate kiss. This moment sparks a new level of intimacy between them, but they both agree to take things slow and not rush into a relationship.

Throughout the book, Nikole continues to pursue her career as a freelance writer while dealing with the aftermath of rejecting Fisher’s proposal. She faces criticism from friends and family who question her decision and put pressure on her to settle down. However, Nikole remains determined to focus on herself and her own happiness.

As Nikole and Carlos navigate their evolving relationship, they face various obstacles and challenges. They must confront their fears, insecurities, and past traumas in order to fully commit to each other. Along the way, they learn the importance of communication, trust, and vulnerability.

In the end, Nikole and Carlos overcome their doubts and fears and decide to take a chance on love. They officially become a couple and embrace the future together.

When freelance writer Nikole Paterson goes into a Dodgers game with her actor boyfriend, the bun guy, and his friends, the last thing she expects is a proposal on the scoreboard. Saying no isn’t the hard part – they’ve only been dating for five months and he can’t even spell her name correctly. The hard part is dealing with a stadium full of frustrated fans….

During the game with his sister, Carlos Ibarra comes to Nik’s rescue and takes her away from a camera crew. He was even with her when the video went viral and Nik’s social media blew up – in a bad way. Nik knows that in the wilderness of LA a handsome doctor like Carlos can’t look for anything serious, so she embarks on an epic recovery with him, filled with great food, fun, and sex. But when their honored relationships begin to break the rules, one of them must be smart enough to hold back….

When I read The Wedding Date last year, I knew I had to read more by Jasmine Guillory. Proposal did not disappoint. It’s great. The characters are witty, the dialogue flows smoothly, and the whole story is amazingly funny. This is a perfect romantic comedy and would make for a great movie.
If you can’t resist a romance that will make you smile then this is the book for you>

Recommended is the most interesting book I have read in a long time. It was a pleasant escape from all the ugly news of the day. I plan to buy more of Miss Guillory’s books. Can’t wait to start another one.

Love the plot line. The voice actors are great. I started reading the book in the middle of Saturday and listened to it continuously for 7 hours!! I finished it the next day. This book is wonderful. What a wonderful love story. Nikole deserves her happy ending.

Impression. So far, each story has captivated me for at least 3 days. Just everything about how each story, so far has come together perfectly and according to my assessment of Wedding Day, full disclosure, I read “While We Were Dating” first…even so…I still find each story able to hold its own and I will move on to the next one..
