The Sound and the Fury (Full Audiobook) By William Faulkner

The Sound and the Fury is a classic American Literature with outstanding popularity even decades after its publishing. The book is written by William Faulkner, who is considered as a legend in American Literature. He write several short stories, novels, essays, poetry and even screenplays as well. The Sound and the Fury is the most notable work that the author has ever produced. It goes down in the American Literature archives as a great novel with timeless significance. A few other quality literary works done by the author are Light in August and As I Lay Dying.

The novel was first published in 1929 and it soon became a grand hit with extreme readership. William Faulkner, the author of this novel crafter his ‘heart’s darling’, the gorgeous and the catastrophic Caddy Compson. The story here is told by Faulkner through different and separate monologues by 3 of her bothers. Her brothers include the neurotic Quentin, the idiot Benjy and finally the monstrous Jason.

This is an outstanding book, which is perfectly written by William Faulkner. On top of that, the audiobook version is tremendously well written by Grover Gardner. You will find the tale decline and fall of the Compson family quite heart-wrenching. Once you go through the narration of this novel then it feels as if some part of your world has also ended with it. It is both the magic of the author and the soulful voice of the narrator. Even if you have gone through the print version of this novel before, you must go through the audiobook once again. There will be surely some fine details and other things that will be more prominent and enjoyable in audio version.
