The Status of All Things By Liz Fenton, Lisa Steinke – Audiobook Online

The Status of All Things is a novel written by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke. The book explores the concept of social media and its impact on our lives, as well as the idea of fate and the power to change one’s destiny.

The story revolves around Kate Carnahan, a woman who is obsessed with social media and constantly compares her life to others through their online posts. She believes that her life is not as perfect as it seems on social media and wishes she could have the same happiness as others. One day, she discovers that she has the ability to change her fate by simply updating her Facebook status.

Kate starts experimenting with this newfound power, updating her status to reflect her desires and seeing them come true. However, she soon realizes that altering her fate has unintended consequences. As she continues to manipulate her status updates, she begins to lose touch with reality and the people around her.

Throughout the book, Kate learns valuable lessons about the importance of living in the present moment and appreciating what she already has. She discovers that true happiness cannot be found through social media validation but rather through genuine connections and self-acceptance.

The Status of All Things delves into themes of self-discovery, personal growth, and the dangers of living in a digital world. It raises thought-provoking questions about the role of social media in our lives and how it can both enhance and hinder our happiness.

In summary, The Status of All Things is a captivating novel that explores the impact of social media on our perception of happiness and self-worth. It serves as a reminder to prioritize real-life experiences over virtual ones and to find contentment within ourselves rather than seeking validation from others online.

Kate is a 35-year-old woman obsessed with social media. So when her fiancé, Max, ruined everything during their rehearsal dinner, she took to Facebook to share it with the world. But something has changed. Suddenly, Kate’s real life starts to mirror whatever she writes on her Facebook status. With all the power at her fingertips, Kate goes back in time to rewrite their history. Kate’s two best friends, Jules and Liam, are the only ones who know the truth. To convince them that she has indeed traveled through time, Kate offers to use her Facebook status to help improve their lives. But her efforts to help them don’t go as planned, and every attempt to bring Max back seems to only backfire, leaving Kate wondering if it’s really possible to change her fate. Are not.

God…I love this book…from cover to cover. I think Fenton and Steinke are a pretty good team. They have a way of writing stories that are perfectly put together that are engaging, unique, and a lot of fun to read. But it is more than that. The State of Things is also a book that makes you think, reflect, and make changes in your own life. It’s pure genius and I highly recommend it to everyone! 5 stars

This is a great story. I loved every bit of it and I didn’t expect it to end like this. it’s a very timely scenario about the use of statuses on Facebook that could somehow come true. Great read. Makes you question whether you want to do it again
