A former firefighter, Kate is named the town’s new hero for reasons she can’t fathom. A free flight and a relaxing break led her to flee the scene to sunny California to regain her breath and distance herself from the unwanted acclaim.
This second installment of the Seven Shores series is better than the first. Autumn is a likable protagonist, and I love how her relationship with Kate develops. Brayden also provides the reader with a more complete picture of the core group of friends in this book. Each of the four personalities really shines and the conversation between them is interesting. Hadley is my favorite character by far, and I’m looking forward to seeing where Brayden takes her story.
