Prince of Chaos is the tenth and final installment of The Amber Chronicles; an epic fantasy series written by six-time Hugo Award-winning and three-time Nebula Prize-winning author, Roger Zelazny.

The ten books that make up the series are told by two storylines: The Corwin Wheel and the Merlin Wheel.

Narrator Wil Wheaton, who won an Audie Award in 2012 for his gripping performance of Fuzzy Nation, brings this classic series up close by voicing Merlin, the son of Merlin. Corwin, in the final five books of the series.

The family’s treachery, trickery, assassination plot, and bloody plot finally brought Merlin, aka Merle Corey, into the Court of Chaos. Thanks to a series of common fatal “accidents” orchestrated by his mother Dara and uncle Mandor, Merlin is third on the list to occupy the throne.

Merlin’s journey to the ultimate rule will not be easy, as dark enchantments await him. There is a murderous discord between Amber and Chaos that needs to be silenced. And a captive royal father, long presumed dead, must first be freed from the evil’s magic before a besieged Prince can consider his victory complete.

A good ending, I think because that’s really the only way to end. I liked all 10 books even though 10 was a bit stretched. I really appreciate such an imaginative mind and would like to thank both narrators for completing the book and making the characters so real. Thank you

The entire series is a delightful walk on the memory trail. They were eagerly awaited when they were written. A bit too descriptive at times, but they are cunningly devised fables. Lots of room to expand. Who will write the origin story of Unicorn and Logrus? Will Merlin’s future son go back in time to fight the forces of Chaos to fix the problems with Dworkin’s confused mind.
