Set Ablaze is a good book by author KC Burn.
California firefighter Hayden Hurst began to realize that life was more fun than fighting fires and drinking with friends. He has room in his home and life for someone special, but none of his relationships stand out. And when he’s at work, admitting he’s gay is very different from showing up at social events with a man. He fears it will be too much for his less-accepted “friends”.

Broadway dancer Jez Bouchet hasn’t been mistaken for straight since he was criticized for being gay at the age of 17. After receiving a lucrative Hollywood job offer, he left his life in New York. and drove to Los Angeles. His brother, Hayden’s best friend, arranged for him to crash at Hayden’s place.

The attraction between Hayden and Jez is unexpected but intense, and they succumb before they’re sure they like each other. But Jez hates Hayden’s homophobic friends, and Hayden knows Jez is too flamboyant for him to fly under the radar. Then there’s the Jez brother’s complication.

Despite those hurdles, they plunge into a relationship. But Jez has secrets: a spoiled little dog and a determined stalker. If he doesn’t justify it, he could ignite their burgeoning relationship before it has a chance to bear fruit.

Jez runs away from a bad relationship in NYC and ends up on Hayden’s porch. As Jez settles in as roommates, Hayden begins to develop feelings for Jez. Jez has widened Hayden’s eyes on how closed he is, and he’s trying to change that. Love blooms between them but Jez’s controlling BF from the past follows him to Passadena. Hayden can ask his cop friend for help and he’s no longer a threat. This is a HEA book so love blossomed and Jez and Hayden made it a success.
