The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress – Audiobook Online By: Robert A. Heinlein

In what is considered one of Heinlein’s most hair-raising, thought-provoking and quirky adventures, the master of modern science fiction tells the eerie tale of an even more distant world. more strange.

It’s the Luna of the 21st century, a harsh criminal colony where an uprising is planned between a timid computer and a collection of evil humans, an uprising that goes well. beautiful until the inevitable happens. But that’s the problem with the inevitable: it happens all the time.
Winner of the 1967 Hugo Award, this novel marks a partial return of Heinlein to his finest form. He draws many historical parallels with the War of Independence, and clearly expresses his own libertarian political views.

This is one of Heinlein’s best short novels. The characters are very real but are engaged in a future event – the revolutionary war to free Luna from the yoke of the Earth. Heinlein’s talent for turning ordinary people into heroes is simply a joke in this story. The narrator has a very expressive voice, lots of accent, and a way of speaking that mimics different characters in a very believable and amusing way. A good way to get you through the workday.

I tossed in bed to see which of Heinlein’s novels were my favorites, and then I read “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.” This book is by far Heinlein’s best book EVER. This is a book about politics, family life, battles, revolutions, fugitives, and of course supercomputers. This book is also one of Heinlein’s most interesting books because it is about a revolution that spans many years but Heinlein allows the book to flow freely and smoothly. All around this book deserves a six out of five.
