As he investigates, he finds himself competing with the underworld criminal, James Denis, to get the necklace back.

In “The Gentleman’s Walking Stick”, Captain Lacey is asked to retrieve a walking stick, which draws him into a case of theft, deception, and betrayal.

This series keeps adding the history of the main characters. The mystery continues throughout the story. The answer at the end becomes obvious and often a surprise.

This book is amazing, it’s fun to read Captain Lacey looks at the petty issues and just his normal self in this regard. He’s a brute, and he’s funny, and Ashley showed us more of his personality in this installment. He’s a great, noble Gentleman and with three stories and an excerpt at the end.. it’s really a book worth buying.

Three short but very good shops. Captain Lacey displays his true integrity and caring nature. Unfortunately, he also finds people who cannot be redeemed.
