The Perfect Match By Maggie Dallen – Audiobook Online
The Perfect Match is the second book in the “Kissing the Enemy” series written by Maggie Dallen. The story revolves around two main characters, Kate and Levis, who have contrasting personalities and find themselves constantly at odds with each other.
Kate is portrayed as an introverted individual who prefers to stay out of the limelight. She values her privacy and dislikes being the center of attention. On the other hand, Levis is depicted as an extrovert who enjoys being the life of the party. He is known for his outgoing nature and often comes across as a loudmouthed jerk.
From Kate’s perspective, Levis seems determined to make her life miserable by constantly putting her in the spotlight. This behavior creates tension and conflict between them, as Kate resents Levis for his actions. She finds it difficult to understand why he insists on drawing attention to her when she clearly prefers to keep a low profile.
Throughout the book, their interactions are filled with banter and clashes due to their contrasting personalities. However, as the story progresses, they begin to discover that there might be more to each other than meets the eye. They start to understand and appreciate each other’s strengths and weaknesses, leading to a gradual shift in their relationship.
As they spend more time together, Kate realizes that there is more depth to Levis than she initially thought. She discovers that his outgoing nature is not just a facade but a way for him to cope with his own insecurities. Similarly, Levis begins to see beyond Kate’s introverted exterior and recognizes her intelligence and unique qualities.
As their understanding deepens, Kate and Levis find themselves drawn towards each other in unexpected ways. They begin to see past their differences and develop a connection based on mutual respect and admiration. Their journey towards finding common ground forms the central theme of the book.

The new boy at school is officially Kate’s worst nightmare. And that was before he turned her world upside down with a stunned kiss.
Kate is an introvert. Levis is…not. Some might say he’s a big-mouthed guy. Kate certainly will, especially since he seems determined to make her life miserable by bringing her into his sights every chance he gets. His opportunities are endless when she’s babysitting his younger brother, and when they’re brought together for an internal script? Well, there’s no hope of avoiding him now. She’s stuck with him, for better or worse.
But after her nemesis turned teammate kisses her, Kate faces a much bigger problem. Suddenly, Levi’s taunts are more like teasing, and what she thinks are attempts to humiliate her seem like the motivation she needs to overcome her fears. So really, the problem isn’t that she’s stuck with Levi as her partner… but the fact that she might just have a crush on her worst enemy.
The author wrote the book very very well. The personalities are still correct even though they’ve changed – more like improved. Both are very likable characters but have natural flaws and they have helped each other grow and bring out the best. I really like this story and can really see them together because they compliment each other well and “see” each other for who they really are.
First Noah and Callie, now Late and Levi. Such great stories!! Thinking of John Hughes all the way!! Youth reading for all ages!! Must read!!
Love the connection and excitement between the MCs. There are many moments of longing, anger, and tension that create that tension and good expectation. Some languages are gentle but without clear scenes. Can’t wait to read about Maddie and Ox.
Everything about this book is VERY GOOD. The perspective from each character was very well done and brilliantly executed. The chemical and psychological reactions go very smoothly without being too dramatic or too flashy. Loved it.
