I really enjoyed the first book in the series and this one is really good too. It took me a while to understand it but it was more my fault than the books. I waited too long between the first and second books. I enjoyed the narration as much as the first. I think the book moves at a good pace and holds my interest. Looking forward to book 3!!

I know this series is geared towards young people, but it still captivates readers no matter their age. I recommend this to anyone ready for adventure. You can’t help but love heroes and heroines.

I hope there will be more in this story. It was engaging and made me turn the page. I left want to know more. I loved the first book in the series and ran with it, eager to know what would happen next for Jacob and Emilia. But I think this is one of those series where the premise is better than the execution – and the first book is pretty much all the premise and setting for this series. What intrigued me from that point on was mainly the interaction between Jacob and Emilia, and the magical world they lived in, but not really the specifics of it.

I hope there will be more in this story. It was engaging and made me turn the page. I left want to know more. Enjoyed reading this book, if you like magic and stories of discovering magical gifts, you will love this book. I really loved the first book in this series. I’m happy to see that there are more books to follow. I really enjoyed reading this second book. It answered some of the questions that book 1 left me with. I am enjoying this series and looking forward to book 3
