A Short History of the World According to Sheep (Audiobook Online)

A Short History of the World According to Sheep (Audiobook Online) by Author Sally Coulthard.

A completely free survey of the enormous impact that domesticated ungulates of the genus Ovis have had on human history.

From the plains of ancient Mesopotamia to the rolling hills of medieval England to the vast sheep farms of present-day Australia, sheep have become central to the human story.

Starting with our Neolithic ancestors first infiltrating sheep farming nearly 10,000 years ago, these remarkable animals have fed us, clothed us, changed our our food and language, help us win wars, decorate our homes, and finance the conquest of vast swaths of the earth. Great fortunes and new, socially transformative industries were created from flocks of sheep and cities shaped by shepherd markets and meat trade.

Sally Coulthard weaves the rich and fascinating story of the sheep into a vibrant and colorful tapestry, filled with fascinating anecdotes and notable facts about the carpel.

This is very interesting and informative! The voice acting is also great. I just wish it was longer and even more detailed about non-Western parts of the world. There are some of them, but more would make it even better.
