Great story…too repetitive

I think the plot line and characters for this are great, it well well told and preformed. However the constant reselling of the heroines childhood trauma got exhausting. After three books of this it’s too much, felt like 40% of the book. Every event is interrupted by it. It’s becoming hard to believe that someone so “strong for the archangel of New York” can’t go to any crime scene without shriveling up into s weak child. Time for her to move on.

Review 2: Archangel’s Consort – Guild Hunter Book 3 by Dae

Ended way too soon

Bought this in paperback as soon as it came out and now listening to it. Nalini Singh could have written another 300 pages and I would have read it with just as much anticipation. The ending came way too soon. Good twists but there was much more steaminess on this one than the previous two novels. I am not complaining…
I would really like to have seen more of the last 1/3 of the book develop but oh well. Guess I am a slave to buy the 4th for that.

Amazing Narration and Fabulous PNR

For me, this series is fantastic in audio. Justine Eyre does an excellent job of portraying the different nationalities and male voices, bringing the book to life in a way the print version cannot. I can feel the emotions that Elena is trying to deny–the love/hate she feels for her father, the love and joy being with her friends brings, and the hesitation when it comes to Raphael. The narrator brings to life all the nuances of each character that makes them so real, it’s as if you are actually there.

[The audio also helps with the pronunciation of names, which can be very difficult since there are such a range of cultures represented. I would have had no idea how to say Charisemnon if not for the audio. And I don’t know about you, but when a name is difficult to pronounce, it kicks me out of the story fast.]

This is a must listen to narrator and a must read story!
