Protagonist Claire Danvers returns to class at the University of Texas Prairie, still with her boyfriend Shane, and once again working with the slightly off-center vampire Myrnin. Michael is adjusting to life as a vampire, and the girl Goth Eve is featured in the town’s new play. The problem comes when the castration friend Kim suddenly appears and gets in between not only Claire and Eve, but Claire and Shane as well. There’s something wrong with Kim, but Claire begins to feel as if she’s the only one who sees the problem… until Kim goes missing and her dirty little secret comes to light.
