Result: More than 4,000 American soldiers and personnel were killed; estimated hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians died; hundreds of billions of dollars are spent; The torture of prisoners in Abu Ghraib prison and the failure to find weapons of mass destruction damaged America’s global reputation.
