The most logical and terrifying sequel to Mary Shelley’s classic, it completely engages the reader on a visceral level. I think Mrs. Shelley would be proud.

Christopher Lane’s narration of this modern classic is very close to perfection. Soft and erudite, almost hypnotizing, he perfectly captures the spirit of the work. Listening to him read was an undeniable joy. What’s more impressive than his general narrative is that he captured almost perfectly the multitude of accents and dialects found in southeastern Louisiana, especially in New Orleans itself. It is difficult for non-native speakers to copy even one of these regional dialects; Very few in the entertainment industry achieve that. Mr. Lane’s mastery of several of these speaks to a remarkable talent.
