Hand of Mars is the second science fiction book in the Starship’s Mage series by author Glynn Stewart.
Three years ago, as a mage aboard the Blue Jay starship, Damien Montgomery was chased by both agents and enemies of the Martian sorcerer king to the edge of space before being transported from the cold. Trained in new skills by the sorcerer king himself, Damien was sent to the planet Ardennes with Alaura Stealey, the king’s hand. An insurgent movement in destroying cities against a governor seems to have lost to corruption. As allies turn enemies and the entire world crumbles into chaos around him, Damien will see both his skills and his integrity tested to the fullest.

This second book continues a few years after Damien launched the Blue Jay spacecraft, shortly after he completed his personal education and further training by the sorcerer king of Mars. He was promoted to the rank of Envoy and began another mission under the guidance of Alaura Stealey, the Hand of Mars.

The mission is to investigate and protect the Ardennes from the terrorists who are wreaking havoc on the government and citizens of the planet.
