How to Date a Douchebag, Book 3: The Learning Hours is a romance novel by Sara Ney. Laurel is initially wary of Rhett’s reputation, but as they spend more time together, she begins to see past his tough exterior and discovers a kind and caring person underneath. As Rhett and Laurel navigate their growing feelings for each other, they must also confront the expectations and biases of their friends and peers. Rhett’s wrestling coach, for example, disapproves of his relationship with Laurel, believing it will distract him from his athletic goals. Meanwhile, Laurel’s friends are skeptical of Rhett’s sincerity, assuming he must have some ulterior motive for being nice to her. Idiots can’t even spell. And the messages I get are wet dreams made of. But I’m not like these idiots, no matter what they try to make me into.

This is not the kind of attention I want.

An outstanding text from the hundreds. Some I can’t block myself. She looks different. Hotter, even in black and white.

However, after meeting her in person, I knew she was not the girl for me. But my friends won’t give up – they just don’t understand. Douchebags or not, there’s one thing they’ll never understand: Girls don’t want me.

Especially her.

This has become my favorite in the Douchebag series. Rhett can’t help but be lovable and his ignorance makes him so much more likable. His cute and clumsy (no) pursuit of the feisty red-haired heroine makes anyone and everyone associate dating struggles even if you’ve been too long and no more staring. The narration is clear and breathes life into these characters in a way that draws you in. This whole series is an epic for the simple fact that sometimes even douchers are adorable to someone. Buy this book.  You won’t be disappointed.

I ended up loving this book. I didn’t think I was going to like it at first but I’m glad I continued. Ney stepped out of the plot about the usual handsome guy. She did a not – so – hot joke with a great personality and heart to meet a hot girl who is sometimes frivolous really well. This book is a great example of beauty not only on the surface and all in the eye of the beholder. Good story.
