Anything Evan Osnos writes I will read. He is an excellent investigative writer/journalist. His ability to identify an important topic, dig into it on his own, and then tell a compelling story succinctly is on another level.

Admittedly, when this book first came out towards the end of the 2020 US Presidential election, I suspected that more than anything else, he was trying to advance his career by write about a popular topic, which he has no experience in the field. .

The book must have been completed very quickly, but Osnos won the lottery when the candidate he was researching won the Democratic primary and then the general election. Other than that, not much else was written specifically about Biden. Suddenly, Osnos appeared on national TV shows as the political pundit of Biden and the president.
