I’m an anthology aficionado so I love Kicking It. This book features nine interesting footwear-related stories of some sort from some of my favorite UF authors, most of which are set within the world of their series. I admit that I have a slight bias towards those connected short films – perhaps because I brought a bit of knowledge of those worlds/characters into those stories and have can focus on action. Forked Tongues – Rachel Caine – I believe this is Caine’s third story starring the resurrected witch, Holly, and Andy, a resurrected witch from the Old West kept alive by their love. . I really like this couple but I brought their history from the previous stories, so I really enjoyed seeing them working together to deal with the enemy in boots.
