Last Tang Standing was so enjoyable that I had a hard time putting it down. Lauren Ho has written a poignant satire on Asian culture that is both humorous and scathing. This book explores the immense pressure to succeed within narrow definitions, the expectation of family conformity, and the guilt inherent in Asian children who feel indebted to their fathers. mother/grandparents/other family members for the sacrifices they made.
