Life’s What You Make It – Audiobook Online

Life’s What You Make It is a book by author Phillip Schofield.
The long-awaited memoir of one of Britain’s most beloved television personalities.
At first, I didn’t think I had lived enough, then life became busy and full of distractions. In recent years there has always been a very painful consideration – I know where it will have to go in the end.

I have decided that the truth is the only thing that can set me free. The truth has taken a long time to unravel to me, but now is the right time to share it, everything.

Television and broadcasting have been part of my DNA for as long as I can remember. As a boy, I made model TVs out of cardboard boxes, while spending long summers at home, barefoot on the golden beaches of Cornwall. Landing a job at an ice cream kiosk, I’d be envious as I watched the heroes I introduced take to the stage of Radio 1’s Roadshow, an unforgettable event when it arrived in town.

In Life’s What You Make It, I look back with nostalgic joy at my life, from when I was a boy who wrote relentlessly for the BBC to pursue a job as a broadcaster, to when I was accepted into Broom Cupboard, with my notorious collaborator Gordon the Gopher, is broadcasting live and starring in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It took four decades to get here, but I feel lucky to have called the sets of Talking Telephone, The Cube, Dancing on Ice and of course, This Morning Home.
