Nick Spalding is my favourite author to read over summer vacations, because his novels have this amazing ability to switch my brain into vacation mode very quickly, not insulting my intelligence in that process. The part of his efficiency is that his novels keeps me out of online gadgets (which may sound odd because I’ve read most of this novel on Kindle device, finishing it on my iPhone), helping me detox digitally.
This book is about that process and in a nicely cheesy way tells what may happen when we are totally dependent of online information and ignoring the real life, while improving the real life is usually the reason we go online the first place. The book also tells a light story on addiction of any kind, but also says that love can be a cure for everything (which is a sleezy Hollywood like detail). It’s a book on life, not on line.
