Here, her oath against love will be tested. Takes us through the perilous years of the 17th Century, where Puritan communities like Salem in Massachusetts were beaten to the point of hysteria and would not let witches live. Hoffman’s prequel to Practical Magic takes us back to the early days of the Owens family and the complicated relationship between their power and the human need to be loved.
