Sandford’s central character, Lucas Davenport, is the most interesting character you’ll come across in years – a tough cop who loves ladies and drives Porsches, a guy who can kill people without looking. when needed, a good person. the guy cares about people and is a complicated person on many levels. I can continue.

In Night Prey, Sandford brings in a female state investigator who has no punches and adds a new element to the investigation into the gruesome murders of several women. She gives the extra opportunity to get to know Davenport’s personality better when she works with him, and he gets to know her better. I like Sandford’s use of women. Often they are the victims, but we cannot escape reality. On the other hand, he writes strong female characters who are ready to deal with Lucas – and that takes some women.

I could choose any of his books to review, but I chose Night Prey so I can say I love all of John Sandford’s books and believe the only ones who don’t like him are who should have skipped the genre altogether.
