Online Free Audiobook – The Boy from the Woods By Harlan Coben

Harlan Coben moves the story into two parts; the first one is about a boy named Wilde who was found in a forest by the local people. Nobody was able to tell anything about the boy and the boy also had no personal memories of his own. Many efforts were made but the connection to Wilde’s missing family was never established.

All of it happened thirty years ago, Wilde is now an adult and does not think about his past anymore. He tries to live more in the present world which he has started liking. Initial chapters after telling us about the past suddenly take us to the present where another girl has disappeared. From here on the second portion of the story starts in which Steven Weber uses a tense tone. Naomi Pine has gone missing without being noticed; some think that she has left the house on her own. Hester however has a different approach to her; she thinks that bullying is the cause of the incident.

She hires Wilde for the solution of the case that has troubles of his own to deal with. Wilde never wanted to go back to everything his mind couldn’t digest. The seriousness of the case forces him to go back and not only bring back the girl but also face the devils of his past manfully. Run Away and Home could form a good combination with this book. Together these three books can make the listener feel the true potential of Harlan and his creative genius. A savageness in the scenes in those chapters when Wilde was found in the woods is rare to find in the books these days.
