The most interesting character in the book is a young female employee named Mira Delsol, possibly the most powerful Armati possessor in years and one who turns out to be incredible for Corian’s plans.

The Armati itself is a fascinating piece of technology, as is the flying skimmer and the quantum railway. But be warned that the world in which all this exists is a seemingly important and unanswered question, leaving a sizable access error in the middle of this story. Knowing Mr. Currie’s other series, we can rest assured that the discovery process will be well worth the wait.
