If you’ve read Austin Bates’ Sunnydale veterinary series, you’ll be familiar with the setting of this story. Coop and Harlan have been best friends since they were children, practically growing up together and integrating into each other’s families. There’s no question that they collaborated in an animal clinic when they graduated. Over the years, their friendship has grown solid but both are keeping it a secret. They have been in love forever but jump around the issue to preserve their relationship. Until it was almost too late. This is a comedy about flaws caused by male nature’s inability to express emotions. It’s nice to watch these two grown men behave like teenagers. Insecurities, misconceptions, and bad timing make for a hilarious story that makes all female readers want to scream “Talk to each other, idiot!” I am a huge fan of mpreg and love this omegaverse setting and the author demonstrates a good understanding of the human condition and has some good puns and dual participants.
