I love this series so much and wish there were more than just four. Nancy Pelosi is one of those politicians you only know. You know her and know her agenda, even if you’re not actively learning about her. This book is a great primer as it covers her upbringing, education, career, and political life. I would recommend these books to anyone looking to learn about some of the current Resistance Queens!

Oh Women indeed!

When I saw this book on @NetGalley after recently seeing Ms. Pelosi on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, at this point they are starting the impeachment proceedings against Pres. Trump and I found ourselves impressed by her, she would not be defeated, and she behaved with poise. Both are rare in this day and age.

I will not pretend to be on the political side; with conditions like mine, I tend to avoid the media and other triggers that tend to take me ‘down the pit’. While reading, I found myself enjoying the frankness and sense of camaraderie that the authors were able to convey. With them constantly referring to ‘sis’ and ‘Queen’, it’s easy to feel like you’re part of this ride.
