Recursion – Audiobook Online

Recursion  – Audiobook Online By: Blake Crouch

New York Times bestsellers.

From the bestselling author of the Dark Matter and the Wayward Pines trilogy comes a relentless thriller about time, identity, and memory – his most enigmatic, irresistible work to date and the inspiration for Shondaland’s upcoming Netflix series.

“Gloriously outstanding…a fiery campfire novel.” (New York Times book review)

Named one of the best books of the year by time • NPR • BookRiot

Reality is broken.

At first, it looked like a disease. An epidemic spreads for unknown reasons, sending victims crazy with memories of a life they never lived. But the force sweeping the world is not a pathogen. It was only the first shock wave, unleashed by a great discovery – and what is at stake is not our minds but the very fabric of time.

In New York City, Detective Barry Sutton is slowly uncovering the truth – and in a remote laboratory, neuroscientist Helena Smith doesn’t know that she alone holds the key to this mystery… and tools to fight back.

Together, Barry and Helena will have to confront their enemies – before they and the world are caught in a loop of growing chaos.

Recursive praise

“A brilliantly original, action-packed ride that kept me up late and shirked from responsibility until I devoured the last page… a fantastic piece.” (Andy Weir, New York Times bestselling author of The Martian)

“Another poignant sci-fi thriller. Crouch seamlessly blends science and intrigue into an experience of what it means to be deeply human.” (Newsweek)

“Surely no one can forget when you’re packing for the holiday… [Crouch] breathes new life into problems with a combination of heart, intelligence and philosophical thinking.” (Weekly entertainment)

“A journey upstream of memory… [Crouch’s] intelligence could be matched to the challenge he posed to transcend the very fabric of time itself.” (Time)

“Extremely enjoyable…another winning novel from an author at the top of his game.”

It’s not just reading it recently that made me believe that statement. Dark Matter is great but only has a little difficulty in level 3. Of course, Pines is awesome too but Recursion is perfect. It’s one of those rare stories where, as soon as you finish reading it, you wish you could go back in time and enjoy it for the first time again!

I was really surprised by some of the following reviews: I thought the book was amazing. I found the voice actors to be extraordinary and engaging. The story – yes, sometimes complicated – really isn’t too confusing given Crouch’s writing and presentation. If you’re a fan of sci-fi (and horror) then I’ll add it to your list!
