Red Notice – Audiobook Online

Red Notice – Audiobook Online By: Bill Browder

November 2009. An emaciated young lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, was taken to a freezing cold isolation cell in a Moscow prison, handcuffed to a bed rail and beaten to death by eight policemen. His crime?

To testify against officials of the Russian Interior Ministry who were involved in a conspiracy to steal $230 million in taxes paid to the state by one of the world’s most successful hedge funds. Magnitsky’s brutal murder remains uninvestigated and goes unpunished to this day. His posthumous comedy trial brought Putin’s regime to a new low in the eyes of the international community.

The Red Notice is a stinging expose of the Russian authorities’ comprehensive whitewash of Magnitsky’s detention and murder, digging deep into the Kremlin’s dark heart to uncover its sordid truths. Bill Browder – the hedge fund manager who recruited Magnitsky – takes us on his explosive journey from the vibrant financial worlds of New York and London in the 1990s, through his battles with the ruthless oligarch amid the turmoil of post-Soviet Moscow, to expel him from Russia on Putin’s orders.

Browder’s graphic portrayal of the Russian government as a criminal enterprise wielding all the powers of a sovereign nation sheds light on his personal transition from a financier became a human rights activist, campaigning for justice for his late lawyer and friend.

With fraud, bribery, corruption and torture always exposed, Red Notice is a shocking but real political roller coaster that takes place at the highest echelons of Western power.

A great story about fund operators and how big money is made. The basic story of corruption in the current Russian government under Putin is being opened up, but when Kerry, Hillary Clinton and Obama and the US Congress become part of the story, it becomes even more so. should be more appealing to the disappointment of our leaders.

This book has exceeded my expectations. The detail in which the author describes Sergei’s story brought tears to my eyes many times. His story deserves to be told by this book to all who have a conscience. Thank you for sharing your story with me. I learned a lot about human rights in Russia, and the system where corrupt criminals can roam freely without consequences.
