In exchange for the vial of dragon blood that saved her brother’s life, Melanie Hall offered herself as a sacrifice to one of Britain’s dragon-switching tribes. Making a sacrifice meant signing a contract to live with the vampire for six months in an attempt to conceive a child. Her assigned dragon person wasn’t easy. He’s tall, quiet, and alpha to the core. There’s only one problem – he hates humans.

Due to the dragon hunter killing his mother, Tristan MacLeod despises humans. His clan is in dire need of offspring to regenerate their numbers and he in turn must serve a human woman. Despite his plans to have sex with her and then walk away, his inner dragon has other ideas. The woman with the curvaceous body seduced the beast inside him like no other.

I really like the world the author builds – I think it has potential – however the book itself needs some work. With a little tweaking, I think ‘Sacrifified to the Dragon’ could be a lot better. I love PNR and I love the plot but adding in the missing words myself pulled me out of the story. However, if you can ignore that, you will read a mystery.

Mel and Tristan are a mismatched couple, or so at the beginning of the novel. Tristan has his reasons for his path and luckily for him, Melanie is not one to give up at the first hurdle. I love how the couple comes together but there can be more between them than sex. Although the author tried to show this, I’m not entirely sure they succeeded. I’d love to see the couple interact a bit more before things fall into place. Besides that, it’s an occult book, easy to read, pretty solid. Wishing you happy reading!
