Not that the man in question wasn’t as sexy as sin, funny as hell, and charming as they were. Because he is. But sometimes you just can’t allow yourself to care about someone for other reasons, other variables.

This is one of those times.

Saxon Tate is my best friend’s ex-boyfriend. He cheated on her.

He could cheat again.

Those are three strikes.

Saxon was Tee’s best friend’s boyfriend until he cheated on her. Now, Tee’s best friend Lexi is finally on good terms with Saxon and is currently dating a guy named Ryder. The complicated part is that Ryder and Saxon were both in the same band that got really big and were on tour. Tee won’t admit that she’s attractive to Saxon and still seems to hate him for what he’s put her best friend through. Saxon wants Tee to be his best and swears to her that he will make her trust him and break down the friendship barrier. It was tough for Saxon on tour when Tee had to trust him and believe that he wanted her and wasn’t going to cheat on her. It’s a battle that is put to the test many times throughout the book.

I wish Saxon had to work a little harder to get her as it doesn’t seem to last long. I like the thrill of their will, don’t they but it doesn’t take long for her defenses to drop and she lets him in. It was fun to read and I look forward to reading more from Chantal Fernando.
