When I finished reading Marcelline’s story, I couldn’t – and didn’t – wait to read Sophy’s story. I was not disappointed, and here I have to admit that I didn’t think it could be the first book. Hooray, Miss Chase. The characters, the jokes, the description: all appreciated — no, even better than that. To begin each chapter, have an appropriate entry of interest from any of the many different sources. Beloved characters and some tough characters from the first book play prominent roles. That’s especially great because it’s terrible to say goodbye to them.

I really don’t intend to write a review. But I actually liked this story better than her first book in the seamstress series where I decided to tackle putting my thoughts on the subject out for display. I quite enjoyed Sophy and Harry’s story with its funny jokes and how they naturally fell for each other. It suits my taste better than Seduction in Silk. I still recommend reading the book to understand family relationships, but this is my favorite by far.
