Second Chances By: A.E. Radley – Audiobook Online

Second Chances is a great book by A.E. Radley.
Bad childhood memories begin to surface when Hannah Hall’s daughter Rosie starts school. To complicate matters further, Hannah steadfastly ignored the obvious fact that Rosie was intellectually gifted and wise beyond her years.

In the dilapidated old school, she meets Rosie’s new teacher, Alice Spencer, who has moved from the city to teach in the small seaside town of Fairlight.

Alice immediately sees Rosie’s potential and sets out to develop an educational program tailored to Rosie’s needs, much to Hannah’s chagrin.

The teacher and mother are in conflict about what is best for little Rosie.

Will Hannah finally open up to someone about how she was hurt in her upbringing?

And will they be able to ignore the flying sparks whenever they are in the same room?

Hannah is alert and wary and lives in a town that thrives on gossip. When she met this gorgeous teacher, all her alarms went off. Can Hannah let go of the past and accept love? I love the small town setting and the whole atmosphere throughout the story. It all feels so real. The mother-daughter interaction was so playful and made me smile. The story is well written. You can feel the love, chemistry, anxiety, and expectations of each character. Great second chance romance!

I absolutely adore Rosie. I like to escape into any book world, especially those where real life is real. We all have different experiences and personalities and this story demonstrates this. You can be different and you can change the mindset that you have been cherishing for a long time. Easily one of my favorite reads.
