Willa is dealing with the aftermath of the battle between the sols and the inhabitants. Atti passed away and Emmy was grappling with her loss. Willa is also trying to work out what happened when she got attached to Cyrus. She finds that she really cares about the Abcurses and that she hates the distance they try to keep because of their pact.

I’m still living a life of random chaos like Willa. She’s funny, nimble, and completely unpredictable. The Abcurses are lovely in their care and obsession with her. They compete with each other, which can help them keep the pact.

We see more Cyrus and Emmy in this installment of the series and it definitely brings more to the plot. Things are going the way Manatsal is being run and it is heavily influenced by Willa and the way Abcurses treats her. Not only has Emmy become a perfect resident, but she’s still Willa’s best sister. She is the voice of reason and keeps a calm head whenever sh*T attacks her fans.

I still find myself rolling around laughing throughout this series, and I really hope that continues throughout the previous two books.
