I’ve loved Rosamond Pike’s performance since she read Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, and she delivered every measure of excellence when she read Austen’s Consciousness and Sensibility . I highly recommend this adaptation because of the vivid, empathetic colors with which Pike portrays such timeless characters, and as always, I forever endorse the creative power of Austen and the others. her iron heroine!

I was so impressed with Pike’s performance of pride and prejudice that I also listened to this and I was not disappointed. I saw the movie and enjoyed it but the book is much deeper than that. In particular, I appreciate some of the more goofy characters that in the movie are just comedic.
